Britney denied right to visit her children

Pop diva Britney Spears has hard times ahead as a court commissioner has ruled that she still may not visit her children, after she missed a custody hearing. Kevin Federline, who was present to testify at the session, keeps sole legal and physical custody of their two sons Preston (2), and Jayden (1) "indefinitely," according to a court spokesman. Mr. Mark Vincent Kaplan, Federline’s lawyer, however, refused to call it a victory for his client. He said that Federline rather hopes that he would at some point of time in the future be able to parent the children with participation from the mother.

There was enough drama outside the courthouse with Spears arriving for the afternoon session of the proceedings, but leaving the courthouse in a huff after paparazzi surrounded her. Finding herself ringed by photographers from all sides when she stepped out of her car, the pop singer said she was feeling scared and wanted to get in the car. The 26-year-old star then returned to her car. The cops tried to coax her out, but she slammed her back against the seat and shouted, "No!" Her car then sped away from the scene.

Spears, who had earlier skipped the morning session, then drove to the Little Brown Church near her home in Studio City and spent a few minutes there. Assistant pastor Michael Kosik said it seemed that Spears just needed to get away than anything else. She then had lunch with her photographer friend Adnan Ghalib, friend Sam Lutfi and another unidentified man at the Gaucho Grill. According to her waitress, Spears was extremely quiet and appeared sad and upset. The hearing had focused on her recent standoff with police, firefighters and paramedics at her Studio City home. She had to be hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after the standoff. A trial in the case is scheduled for April.
